Hate to sound so cliché but in the world of modeling the age old adage,” beauty is only skin deep,” is as earnest as an honest politician. Mostly because we rarely see a modest looking model reaching the level of superstardom as we do the aptly shaped beauty that stroll the Victoria secret cat walk each year during fashion week. However, there is the Dutch bombshell Chelina Manuhutu whose unpretentious approach has increasingly drawn the attention of the modeling world.

She is indeed a woman that has it all-brains, body, and beauty. Aside from these three things that most women wish to have, her class sets her even further apart from the bunch. Although a very gorgeous woman, her demeanor is that of someone well prepared for what lies ahead.

EBM: Your appeal is breath-taking! What ethnicity are you?

Chelina Manuhutu: Well if I tell you I may lose some of my appeal, right? But let’s just say I’m mixed with a number of things, Miaonese, African, English and tiny bits of many other things.

EBM: You were discovered while singing in an all girl group? What was that experience like?

Chelina Manuhutu: Yeah I was a part of an all girl group called Dare and we were experiencing some success throughout Europe before I was “discovered” by a talent agent who was vacationing in my country, The Netherlands.

Initially I was reluctant to do the modeling thing but after the band broke up I decided to give it a try and so far so good.

EBM: Were you born and raised in the Netherlands?

Chelina Manuhutu: I was born in Amsterdam and because of my father’s celebrity we would move regularly throughout Europe as he increasingly grew in notoriety.

And eventually we settled in The Netherlands.

EBM: Was the constant travel hard on you?

Chelina Manuhutu: As a child I don’t think it bothered me as much, but as I started to make friends it became difficult.

EBM: What do you consider sexy?

Chelina Manuhutu: When your man can undress you with his eyes from across the room; a confident man that is comfortable in his skin and is not intimidated by my profession.

So often, you run into guys that can’t deal with a strong career driven woman and they quickly become obsessive and insecure. And before long, it turns into an abusive relationship, either emotionally or physically or both.

EBM: You speak as if you’ve been in abusive relationships before?

Chelina Manuhutu: I’ve dated insecure men and each time the situation has turned out bad. But you learn from it and move on.

EBM: In front of the camera there’s a naturalness that comes across during your shoots. Are you really that comfortable in front of the camera?

Chelina Manuhutu: I am! You can just have fun and be silly. And any good photographer can capture that moment which makes for a good shoot. Heidi Klum once told me, “You have to seduce the camera.”

For some models that’s difficult but I think because of my background with singing I’m able to play with the camera, and enjoy the moment.

EBM: How do you maintain such a tone physique?

Chelina Manuhutu: I work-out and I try to eat clean. One of the rigors of modeling is that they scrutinize each part of your body in effort to capture the right image that best represents their brand. So you’re constantly watching what you eat.

EBM: What are some of your other interests?

Chelina Manuhutu: I still really enjoy singing and as of lately I’ve been considering some offers that have been presented, but we’ll see.

EBM: What do you consider to be your best physical asset?

Chelina Manuhutu: Hmm. If I had to say, I guess I would say my posterior.

EBM: We agree! And I’m sure our readers will too. Thank you for your time.
