This opened up a reserve of acting opportunities for Bianca. She has managed to tag an impressive amount of TV experiences, among them “Dawson’s Creek”, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” “The Steve Harvey Show,” and “Sister, Sister.”
Next stop, movie nation! Although she has no love for the “hey come and impress me” attitude of casting agents and producers, she has not let that slow her down one bit. With the crop of rapper/actors that seems to have come out of nowhere, one has to wonder what she has to say about missed opportunities. Is she disturbed by the thought of getting passed over for a first-time actor/ rapper with no experience? She has made a decision not to hate, but to celebrate their arrival. “I don’t begrudge anyone’s success…I mean you don’t know how hard a person’s journey has been or what they’ve done to get that deal,” she states assertively. “It may seem like they came from nowhere but that may not be the case. So I don’t judge.” While doing movies like “Feast of All Saints, “Bones”, “Save the Last Dance” and “Primary Colors,” it’s apparent that her focus is not on competition, as much as it is on fluent purposefulness.
The future seems to contain innumerable opportunities for the delightful Bianca Lawson. Although she doesn’t envision herself married any time in the near future, she does see herself surrounded by the love of family and friends as she anchors herself in action and eventually, directing. “Hopefully I’ll be at a place in my career where I can pick and choose and not have to fight for everything…that’ll be nice.” But if first impressions are any indication, Bianca Lawson will do much more than even her imagination could possibly define.
